About

I am a final-year undergraduate student at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, pursuing a B.S. in Statistics and Data Science. My research interests center on computational statistics and machine learning. I currently work with Prof. Dootika Vats, where my research focuses on advanced Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods, specifically Hamiltonian Monte Carlo for multimodal sampling. We are also exploring problems in differential privacy. I have also worked on SWAP regression (with Prof. Sharmishtha Mitra) and optimisation algorithms for LAD estimators (with Prof. Debasis Kundu ).
Previously, I gained industry experience as a summer associate at the Boston Consulting Group in Mumbai and academic experience as a research intern under Prof. S. Basu at IIM Bangalore.
Outside of academics, I have served as a coordinator for the Debating Society of IIT Kanpur and an editor for Vox Populi, the campus media body. I enjoy creative writing and publish poetry on my blog, Serendipity. I am also an avid reader, traveler, and dog lover.
